Recommended when maximum recovery is important. Durapore™ PVDF Membranes: 0.45μ Pore Size provide high flow rates and throughput, low extractables, broad chemical compatibility and low protein binding. Available in diameters ranging from 13mm to 142mm.

Description

  • Composed of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) that binds far less protein than than nylon, nitrocellulose or PTFE membranes
  • White membranes are autoclavable
  • Hydrophilic membranes are 125µm thick with 0.45µm pores
  • Typical refractive index: 1.42
  • Plain-surfaced filters available in 13, 25, 47, 90 and 142mm, plus a gridded-surface 47mm option
Ideal for use with:
  • Clarification of air and other gases
  • Sterilizing filtration of protein solutions, tissue culture media, additives, antibiotics and alcohols
  • Particulate removal and biological assays (receptor binding studies, TCA precipitates)
