This kit uses an indirect competitive ELISA method, in which the pre-coated kanamycin antigen pre-coated on the microwell strip competes with the residual kanamycin in the sample to bind to the anti-kanamycin monoclonal antibody, the monoclonal antibody captured by the microwell is combined with the enzyme-labeled secondary antibody, the TMB substrate is colored, and the absorbance value is detected by the microplate reader (450nm). The absorbance value is negatively correlated with the amount of kanamycin in the sample. The concentration value is calculated from the standard curve and multiplied by the corresponding dilution factor to determine the amount of kanamycin in the sample.
The kit is suitable for the detection of kanamycin residues in cell and gene therapy plasmid DNA raw materials. For the detection of other biologics samples, it is recommended that users perform suitability verification to rule out matrix interference.
